We know very little of Haggai the man. From his style of writing and the content of his prophecy, he appears to be an ordinary guy who accomplished something extraordinary in the power of God. The temple that was built was very ordinary compared to the grandeur of Solomon’s temple, yet God filled it with his glory. You and I are the temple of God’s Spirit today. Paul spoke to the Corinthians about how we have this priceless treasure in jars of clay. I call this The Glory of the Ordinary and I am extraordinarily excited to share some of these thoughts with you over the next two months!
