| Evangelists share the gospel of Christ so that unbelievers can readily see, understand, and accept Christ as Savior. They connect with people in a unique way, bridging gaps of race, creed, and culture with the simplicity of the Gospel. |

| City Union Mission |
Men are needed to preach at City Union Mission, a local organization providing shelter, recovery help, and support programs as they work with the homeless. We encourage men and women with a heart for ministry to the poor to volunteer serving food, answering phones, mentoring residents, and providing transportation to and from KCBT services. |

We minister to youths placed by the court system in area detention homes, offering open question and prepared Bible studies. We also work to build relationships through recreational activities. Country background checks and screening forms are required. |

| International Student Ministry |
The International Student Ministry gives us the chance to assist international students attending classes at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) and Avila. Whether you pick a new arrival up at the airport, provide housing until more permanent arrangements are established, or take students shopping, each opportunity allows you to establish a true friendship with students far from home.
A training session is provided once each year to help train new ministry team members in cross-cultural issues, responsibilities, and things that should/should not be done when relating to students. This ministry is for those willing to spend time developing a solid relationship with individuals, which provides opportunities to share the gospel when the students are ready to hear (rather than when we are ready to share). The following is a list of opportunities throughout the year to interact with international students. The ISM Team meets for lunch regularly; students are also welcome at these meetings.
- Airport pickup
- Provide housing until students are able to find their own apartment, their dorm room becomes available, etc. This is typically between two days and two weeks.
- Conversational English classes. These classes meet bi-weekly; they are not held during the summer months.
- Walmart shopping trips. These trips occur bi-weekly.
- Special local events. Past events include Union Station, the Truman Presidential Library, and Old Missouri Town.
- Out of town trips. Past trips include Omaha, Nebraska and St. Louis, Missouri.
