|
A Trip leader and 3 men and/or women are invited to sign up for this trip as as we partner with other organizations to help feed the homeless in our community and minister to those in need. Along with giving out food, volunteers will hand out blankets, gloves, hats, socks and personal items to the homeless and poverty stricken in our city.
The trip begins at 5 PM sharp in order to serve the meals in a timely manner and runs until 8 PM.
Last year the Salvation Army and the Red Cross served 20,000 meals thru Honk and Holler. Swope Parkway Health Center provided outreach services for 6,777 different homeless people and many other services. Service time is from 5pm—10pm.
