Planning has begun for the 2008 Grand Slam Youth Baseball League season. We currently have all of our division leaders in place and are praying that God would supply our Head coaches by January 2008. Please track our progress as God continues to supply our head coaches (see below).
Head coaches set the direction for the team spiritually and physically through devotions, practice sessions and games. They also take responsibility for team equipment, team uniforms and keeping parents informed of schedules, including practices, games, cancellations, events, etc. Head coaches also plan additional outside activities for their team throughout the season to help grow and maintain relationships with team players and their parents.
We will begin recruiting assistant coaches, grounds crew, umpires, and concession workers in January 2008. Check back in January for more information on this exciting opportunity to get involved in the lives of our children and impact our community!
Qualifications for Head coach:
Head coaches must be a tithing member of KCBT, submit to a background check to be cleared to work with children, as well as possess excellent people skills, leadership skills, and organizational skills. Head coaches must also have an understanding of the ministry philosophy of KCBT and the ability to teach baseball or softball.
If you meet the qualifications listed above and believe that God would have you serve Him through Grand Slam Youth Baseball as a Head Coach, please contact Scott Gates by email or by phone (816.358.1515)
