The goals of our ministry include the following for each student:

• Understand that God has a plan for his/her life (Creation)
• Have a valid opportunity to accept Christ as his/her personal Lord and Savior (Salvation)
• Follow the Lord in believer's baptism and be established in the fellowship of "likeminded" believers (Baptism)
• Understand and submit to the authority that God has allowed and established in his/her life (Submission)
• Begin to develop a personal relationship with God by spending time daily in the Word of God and in prayer (Devotion)
• Purpose in his/her heart and equip himself/herself to live a consecrated life (Consecration)
• Understand God's mission and become a bold witness for the Lord Jesus Christ (Missions)

Jim Lee accepted the Lord as his personal Savior while attending Rockhurst University in August 1989. Jim is a 1995 graduate of the Shepherd School of Ministry. While working with young people in many different areas, God began to lead him to invest his life in young people as his permanent area of ministry. Jim led the Jr. High ministry for two years while teaching in a Kansas City area high school. In June 1998, he resigned his teaching position to join the KCBT staff as the full-time High School Pastor. In June 2005, he became the Student Ministries Pastor for Jr. High, High School and College students.

Jim and his wife Kelly are investing their lives at KCBT with a vision to challenge young people to live a life of purity and consecration to the Lord in their schools and other areas of influence. They have three sons: Nathaniel, Matthew and Jonathan.
